Description:
This gear box was taken from concept through to production drawings. It was designed for a torque capacity of 13,000 Nm (10,000 ft lb), a downward thrust load of 1.3 MN (300,000 lb), and to operate in an offshore drilling rig. Lubrication and cooling pumps are mounted inside the unit conserving space and ensuring trouble free operation.
